WLASA is a dynamic professional body which represents the interests of women legal practitioners across South Australia and also works to promote justice and equality for all women. WLASA membership is comprised of women from all sectors of the legal profession, including private practice, the public sector, in-house, courts, universities, the independent bar, judiciary and non-practising lawyers.

Consistent with WLASA’s objective of proactively engaging with law students, WLASA offers continuing professional development seminars and career seminars and exhibits at the law student career fair.

WLASA is presently seeking one student representative from the University of Adelaide to join the committee as a student representative.

The student representative would be invited to attend committee meetings during the year, and have the opportunity to work in collaboration with other (non-student) members of the committee, including in respect of the organisation of special events and projects and policy work.

Please note that the student would need to be a student member of WLASA in order to be eligible. Students who are interested will need to submit a brief statement about themselves and why they want to be the student representative (maximum 300 words).
