Research Work - National Trust SA

Place of Work:

National Trust SA

Position Details:

The role involves researching the planning and heritage system through (1) the Heritage and (2) the Planning, Development, and Infrastructure Acts, as well as (3) the Planning and Design Code to produce a series of user guides. We envisage that these will be user friendly resources in plain English to help individuals to navigate these complex policy areas.

Essentially, we want to make these available to community members, to enable them to navigate the system, make submissions on proposed developments and so on.

The pay rate, based on advice, has been set at $60/hour, for approximately 150 hours of work.

There is flexibility for someone to work intensely on this now to complete the bulk of the work very quickly, and then drop back to a smaller number of hours each week once University returns.

The National Trust has a small supportive team and working remotely is certainly a possibility. Having said that though, if the successful applicant would like to spend time working in the office, that too is completely fine.

We have a small advocacy team so there is plenty of support on that front and we have a clear understanding about the product that we need at the end of this project.

Position Requirements:

We need someone with good research skills and the ability to synthesise quite complex information into accessible, straightforward documents that are easy for NTSA members and the broader community to access.
